When Russia was
persecuting people for their religious beliefs ,Josyp Trelya (a Catholic Soviet
Ukrainian) was told the he either gave up his religion or went to prison. As
he was unable to renounce his faith, he chose to go to jail. At the age of
only 19 he was imprisoned by the Soviet authorities. Although he was
re-captured every time, he escaped 9 times from prison. In an effort to
dispose of him he was locked in a "freeze" box. This was a box with
small open windows that allowed the frigid Russian air to enter his cell and
cause him to freeze to death. Josyp tells that his eyes were frozen shut and
even the fibres in his hair were frozen and he was at the point of death. He
said his last prayer to the virgin Mary to help him. The room was suddenly
filled with bright warm light and Mary stood before him. Soldiers who were
sent to retrieve his body also saw the light which disappeared shortly after
they opened the freeze box. Inside the box was warm and Josyp was very much
alive. Josyp was then accused of practising Yoga, as an explanation of why he
was still alive. Josyp insisted that he was saved by an apparition of the
Virgin Mary. As such he was judged insane and sent to a mental institution.
During his time in the institution, Josyp claimed he cemented his links to
the divine and became a conduit for prophecy and divine revelation. Josyp endured a
total of 23 years of torture in prison before he was released. When he was
released, Communist Russia again found him guilty of anti communist
activities and of working with persecuted Jews. He then became
internationally known and, through the direct intervention of President
Reagan, President Mitterand and Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands, he was
allowed to come to the West. He was expatriated by the Soviet authorities and
exiled to Canada in 1987. It wasn't until he came to the We that the world
became aware of the magnitude of his prophecies. In an interview with his
spiritual director (Bishop Roman Danlyak) he stated that he had spoken before
joint sessions of the Senate, Congress, the Pentagon and the White House. He
has also had over 36 visits to the
Pope. The mystery is that there does not seem to be a record anywhere of all
his prophecies.. It seems strange that a person of this nature has not been
allowed to publish them .Perhaps they are being withheld by the Vatican, as
in the case of the Fatima papers. Some of them are known due to him quoting
them in interviews etc. For instance he has stated that "A Person will
appear called Vladimir. He will call on Russia to destroy Israel". On
December 13th 1999, President Vladimir Putin took office…….. The author of
this Website has undertaken extensive research and cannot find a full record
